Following a serious brush with mental health earlier in the season, the Crusaders Women wanted to show unity and support for all who are suffering with their mental health within the team, club and local community.
1 in 2 people suffer with mental illness at some point in their lives and we feel strongly that people who are suffering, should never suffer on their own.
Norfolk and Waveney Mind is the branch of the main Mind charity which covers our local area. With over 4,000 people currently using its services, Norfolk and Waveney is the largest area of Mind in the country - and we wanted to support!
15th January saw a selection of our team, dogs, sponsors, loved ones and members of the mens section setting off on an arduous trek along Marriotts Way from Norwich to Aylsham to raise vital funds for the hard work the charity puts in to the area.
Massive thanks to Katie for the snacks, Blake for the coffees and those Norfolk and Waveney Mind clients who supplied us with bottles of water!
14 hours, 26 miles, over £1600, 10 marathon walkers, 3 marathon walking dogs, hundreds of blisters, bucket fulls of tears and mountains of pride!
Thank you to all who donated!
